Hour Exchange Portland

Hour Exchange Portland is a membership organization where services are exchanged for Time Credits. Members utilize the skills and talents they choose to share in exchange for services they want or need. These service exchanges enhance their lives by saving them cash dollars and building new relationships through networking. Every service provided is valued equally, an hour for an hour.

Hour Exchange Portland was founded in 1997 (originally the Maine Time Dollar Network) by local activist and physician Dr. Richard Rockefeller after he met and was inspired by the movement's founder, Dr. Edgar Cahn. Currently we have over 700 active members providing over 1600 services in 178 categories. In 2008, members exchanged over 11,000 hours of services in over 3,500 transactions!

You can join Hour Exchange Portland today. Share any amount of your time with others and help enrich our community with your talents and expertise, and your own life with the many "cash free" services you may receive!
