Abby LaPlante hails from Bath, Maine. She graduated from Morse High School in 2003 and the University of Maine at Orono in 2007, earning her B.A. in English and Communication. She also studied at Saint Michael’s College in Vermont, the University of Southern Maine and Lancaster University in the U.K. Abby is in her second year as a VISTA and provides support for the Regional VISTA program as well as the Time Gallery and Holiday Auction. She hopes to apply her knowledge to a career in arts management. She writes fiction and obsesses over music, art and film. Prior to arriving at Hour Exchange, Abby worked for Reny’s (A Maine Adventure) Department Store in Bath and has worked a number of odd jobs.
