MEMBER CARE: Monique Bidwell, member of Hour Exchange Portland since 2001, says almost every major event in her life since becoming a member of HEP has involved Hour Exchanging in some way. In 2003 her daughter Eleanor, the first "Service Exchange Baby" was born using earned Hours as payment for midwifery services. In the fall of 2008 she purchased a home in Portland and was the first member to utilize HEP's new Hour Weatherization Co-Operative to get her house ready for winter.
