Hour Exchange Portland is a member-driven organization. We invite all of our members to share their talents and skills to help support Hour Exchange Portland and each other. To find out more about what you can do, fill out our leadership skills sheet or login to your account and check the Eblast to find positions available and other Member Leaders who can help answer your questions.
You can also check the calendar of events for upcoming Member Leader Team meetings, and don't forget, you can earn time credits as a Member Leader!
Member Care Team:
- Member Care Committee - supports member leaders to ensure all HEP members get engaged and stay involved.
- Orientation Leader - runs orientations for new members, should be comfortable speaking about the program in front of a group once a month.
- New Member Mentor - answers new members' questions and helps them get engaged in making their first exchanges. Flexible hours, can be done from home.
- Office Helper - data entry, filing, make phone calls to schedule orientation, etc.
- Ebuddy - offers tech/computer support for those who need help accessing a computer. Helps manage members accounts or provides individual software training.
Fundraising Team:
- Fundraising Committee - makes sure HEP has adequate funds to support it's operations.
- Grant Team - researches and applies for grants that fit with HEP's mission.
- Microenterprise Team - develops alternative revenue sources like selling products or services.
- Events Team - organizes fundraising events.
Outreach Team:
- Outreach Committee - coordinates all outreach and supports outreach leaders.
- Marketing Team - develops outreach through website, brochures, social media, etc.
- HEP Ambassadors - presents HEP at events and to organizations, recruits new members and new partners.
- Partnership Liaisons - develops sustainability and reciprocity in HEP partnerships with arts orgs., health care orgs., and other groups.
